Single full-length screenplay or MOW (not more than 130 pages): $55

Single ½ hour short or teleplay (not more than 45 pages): $35

Two full-length screenplays or MOWs: $85 (two script limit)

Two ½ hour shorts or teleplays: $60 (two script limit)

Jeffrey Blake Palmer is a screenwriter and filmmaker with New England roots now living near Hollywood, California. He is through postproduction and now in preparation for filming one of his short projects entitled WORN. Filming begins during the November 2011 timeframe.

His horror/Thriller screenplay, THE SLEEPING DEEP, earned him 7 wins, including best screenplay at the 2008 H.P. Lovecraft Film Festival, and placed with over a dozen contests and festivals.

His screenplay SEX BOMB DEATH RIDE is currently7 under option with a Maine-based producer and his dramatic feature ON THE FRINGE can be found on DVD via Amazon and IMDb.

Jeffrey is at work on a few feature-length scripts in the thriller/Sci-fi/supernatural genres and has a handful of short projects on deck: one of which, WORN, took 1^st runner-up at the 2011 Sacramento International Film Festival and was a finalist in the 2010 Writers Place Screenplay Contest.

TWENTY-SIX DAYS TO DEADLINE

TWP APR – OCT 2011 SCREENPLAY CONTEST

The Writers Place (TWP) is now accepting scripts for its May – October 2011 screenplay competition. Submit your best screenplay or teleplay/short. Works by single or multiple authors welcomed. Single or multiple entries welcomed. All genres and lifestyle scripts accepted. Twenty-six (26) days to early bird submission deadline – 31 Oct 2011.

SUBMISSION FEE:

Single full-length screenplay or MOW (not more than 130 pages): $55

Single ½ hour short or teleplay (not more than 45 pages): $35

Two full-length screenplays or MOWs: $85 (two script limit)

Two ½ hour shorts or teleplays: $60 (two script limit)

Late Fee: (submitted after 31 Oct 2011): Standard fee + $10 per script

Students receive a $5 discount per script submitted NLT 31 Oct 2011. To receive this discount you must submit via TWP electronic submission system, located at http://www.thewritersplace.org/submission.php, and specify the college you attend in the Logline field of the submission form.

The Writers Place (TWP) is pleased to announce the winners and honorable mentions for the November 2010 to April 2011 screenplay contest. We received many finely-crafted scripts during this contest period. The selection was, to say the least, very difficult. That said, in the opinion of our readers, the following scripts were considered exceptional:
