The 36th Annual Worldfest Houston International Film Festival extends congratulation to Paula C. Brancato for her short film HER FATHER’S DAUGHTER, winner of the 2003 Remi Award for best work in-progress. Brancato’s win this year is especially significant as more than 4,500 entries from 37 countries competed in the series category. The Worldfest-Houston remains “Fiercely Independent”, the only truly Indie Film Festival in North America, and one of the oldest and largest film and video competitions. In prior years, Worldfest has given first honors to Spielberg, Lucas, Lynch, Ang Lee, The Coen Brothers and Ridley Scott, among others. We look forward to seeing Brancato’s completed work in the near future
