No martyr of time, this particular masterpiece hangs in the National Gallery of Ireland. Definitely worth a gaze.Jules Verne - Ode to childhood and the player within us. Verne was born, aptly, in Nates, France in 1828. He promptly ran off to become cabin boy on a merchant ship but was caught and sent back to his parents. Thus constrained, his imagination wandered. He wrote story after story, became very rich, bought a yacht and resumed his initial intent - to sail around the world. Or Europe anyhow. Our favorite remains Twenty Thousand Leagues.

TWP COFOUNDER NEGOTIATES OPTION FOR
TWP MEMBER

TWP is pleased to announce that Ryan Mains and Suzan Derkson with Politically Incorrect Productions have optioned TWP member Matt Lutz's feature horror/comedy script “Fat Camp: Time to DIET”. The producers met Matt through TWP's Inktip alliance and the management of TWP cofounder Paula Brancato. Mains, a young up-and-coming director whose film school thesis was nominated for two Leo Awards, recently wrapped production on his first feature comedy “Of Golf and God,” which he completed while working in various capacities on other feature films like “Night at the Museum” with Ben Stiller and Robin Williams, and “Traveling” with Jennifer Aniston and Martin Sheen. And, Suzan Derkson has worked on some of the most highly acclaimed and Emmy Award winning television series shot in Canada, e.g., “The X-Files,” “Millennium,” and the Hallmark mini-series “Dreamkeeper,” as well as on features like the Scary Movie franchise. Matt Lutz, meanwhile, is an accomplished musician and playwright who is finishing up graduate studies in screenwriting at the University of Southern California. The deal was negotiated by Lutz’s manager, Paula Brancato, a producer and former investment banker who also works as a screenwriting professor at USC, where she and Matt met.
